When you are ready to bring someone on, it takes one click. Here is exactly what happens and what you need to know as the employer.
Important: what we do NOT do
We do not run background checks, I-9 verification, E-Verify, or any immigration or residency screening. We collect the documents the candidate provides; verifying them is your responsibility as the employer. If your business or industry requires specific employment eligibility checks, you must arrange those yourself through the appropriate services.
Click 'Hire' on the candidate card
In your dashboard, open the candidate you want to hire and click the Hire button.
Candidate is notified
The candidate gets a congratulations message by text and email. They are told what to do next.
Document collection (Enterprise only)
On the Enterprise plan, ImHiring automatically asks the candidate to upload their W-9 and any other tax or onboarding documents you have set up. On Starter and Pro, you handle document collection outside the platform.
Download your packet
Once documents are submitted, you can download the full onboarding packet from your dashboard — all in one PDF.
You can mark the hire as cancelled in your dashboard. The candidate record stays in your history.
By default: W-9. You can add additional documents (like direct deposit forms) in your Enterprise settings.
Yes. Documents are encrypted and stored securely. Only you (the employer) can access them in your dashboard.
